For the Christian praising God should not be an optional event that happens when only good circumstances occur. Instead praising God should be something that we do at all times as our act of worship to our heavenly Father. Since God is always good, praising Him is always in order. Even when you are feeling down, praising God is the great antidote to getting out of the dumps, for we read in (Isaiah 61:3) to put on “…The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness…”
As Christians our greatest desire should be to glorify God. And one of the best ways to do this is to always praise Him for His excellent greatness, for we read in (Psalm 50:23): “Whoever offers praise glorifies Me…” My friends there is so much joy and power in praise that I pray the following quotes will energize your praise life.1
“The deepest level of worship is praising God in spite of pain, trusting Him during a trial, surrendering while suffering, and loving Him when He seems distant.” ~ Rick Warren
“We can always find a reason to praise. Situations change for better and for worse, but God’s worth never changes.” ~ Matt Redman
“The great thing, and the only thing, is to adore and praise GOD.” ~ Thomas Merton
“Praise causes the presence of the Lord to come into our midst. Even though God is omniscient, He manifests His authority and rule in our environment when we praise Him. When we praise, God comes in and leads us forth… He does not just visit us, but He abides and aligns Himself with us to walk with us into the path that He has chosen for us.” ~ Chuck Pierce
“The early morning hour should be dedicated to praise: do not the birds set us the example?” ~ Charles Spurgeon
