Evangelism is such an integral part of Christianity that the church that isn’t missions minded isn’t minding the mission of the church. As Christians our chief end in life is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever. But included in the glorification of Jesus is to preach the gospel and win souls to the kingdom. Since Jesus came to earth to preach love and repentance for sin, in order to emulate His mission, we too should be about the business of sharing the gospel of Christ.
Have you ever wondered why Jesus didn’t take us up to heaven the moment we received the gift of salvation? I believe, the chief reason was to leave us here as His ambassadors and evangelists to preach the gospel and win souls to Christ. As Christians all of us are called to evangelize and share the message of the cross with all the world.
