Not only is Darwinian evolution a bankrupt theory but to call it a scientific theory does a great injustice to the name of science. For according to Ray Comfort in referring to evolution: “It is embarrassingly unscientific to speak of anything creating itself from nothing.”1
While Darwin’s theory is clearly unscientific, since there is no way to actually observe or test it, by the normal scientific method, which requires observable and repeatable experimentation, the question arises how then has it survived these past 150+ years since it was proposed? I believe that the answer is not at all a scientific issue but a philosophical one. Again, Ray Comfort, is spot on when he said: “Darwinian evolution is unscientific, unobservable, unbelievable, but understandable in a world that hates God.”2
You see Darwinian evolution masquerades as science but in reality it is just another false religious system that attempts to do away with God as our Creator and make chance and the random collision of molecules the vehicles that brought you and me into existence. But in our world where truth is relative, and not absolute, as the Bible shows us, mankind feels free do not only do away with God, but make up his own morality system. In this way he can justify his sinful behaviors, and not have to be accountable to a holy God who has laid down His own and absolute standards of right and wrong conduct. And with no God to believe in mankind is free to behave as he chooses, thinking he will not have to be accountable for his sinful choices.
My friends we live in a world of darkness where sin abounds and the desire to escape accountability, I believe, is the chief reason why such an absurd theory as evolution has stubbornly persisted. Sadly, not only is evolution an embarrassment, not only is it absurd, but it is truly morbid.
With no God to believe in the only thing we can say about human existence is that we came from nothing and when we die we go back to nothing and somehow in between these two states of nothingness, we must find some kind of meaning. And since life is so short and sometimes so unfair meaning for many is often impossible to find.
But praise God there is another faith based belief system called Christianity where we can all enter into an exciting, joyful, and eternal living relationship with the God of the universe – Jesus Christ.
And while embarrassing, absurd, and morbid describe Darwinian evolution, ultra-meaningful, abundantly joyful, and eternally rewarding describe our relationship with Jesus. The Bible is God’s great love letter to humanity. It has withstood the test of time and been the indispensable guide to teach us how to worship God and enjoy Him forever. Charles Darwin’s book, The Origin of Species By Means of Natural Selection, and its core theme of Darwinian evolution, however, if true, is a book of epic gloom and doom.
Down through the centuries, Jesus Christ has transformed people for the better and given countless millions hope for the now and in eternity. Charles Darwin, down through the last 150+ years has given people the bleakest of scenarios – life without meaning, and life without God. Thankfully when all is said and done, the Bible has endured the test of time, while the kindest thing I can say about Charles Darwin’s theory is that it is nothing more than a fairy tale for grown-ups!
So true. Concensus science, such as Darwinian evolutionary theory, is dangerous science. Other examples of such “science” are man-made climate change, and the Corona Virus vaccines. These too have been unproven philosophical “theories” that have “cancelled” true scientific investigation and have lead to doom and gloom conclusions. They negate the power and influence of The Divine Creator, Who provides hope, peace, and joy as He reveals Himself in Nature and in His Word. In Romans 1:20-32, Holy Spirit warns us through the Apostle Paul, of the outcome these kinds of unscientific thought.
