Just what is evolution? The definition that captures the essence of evolution states that evolution is nobody times nothing equals everything. Since most evolutionists believe that there is no God clearly in the beginning of the universe there was no rational and intelligent being guiding the process of how human beings came to be. And clearly before the universe came into being there was nothing there to start with. So, in the beginning we had nobody and nothing and yet today we have everything – including the most complex thing in the universe – human beings!
Imagine the amount of knowledge that needed to be compiled to build a Boeing 747 airliner. Each of its six million parts required a team of experts to figure out where each part should go in order to ensure this piece of technological genius could fly. Obviously to create a 747 airliner required great intelligence, yet evolutionists would want you to believe that blind chance and the natural selection of positive mutations brought about something a million times more complex than a 747 – a human being!
Just why is a human being so much more complex than a 747? And why is the theory of evolution imagination run wild? If we start in the present and try to go back to the beginning of creation I think you will see why you need a great amount of faith and imagination to believe in evolution.
If a 747 has six million parts a human being has over 30 trillion parts called cells. Yet each cell has dozens and dozens of unique machines within its cell membrane that are essential for human life to exist. So, say a cell has 100 different functioning and separate machines – that would mean a human being has over 3,000 trillion functioning parts. (Please see my devotion from 11/20/2020 called The Human Cell for more background on the cell). And each machine within each cell is made of an amazing array of complex protein molecules, some that have hundreds of amino acids that are sequenced just right for the protein molecule to function. So, I think you can see how infinitely more complex a human being is than a 747 airliner. Yet again evolutionists want you to believe that while a 747 airliner required great intelligence to design, we human beings came on the scene through a long procession of fortuitous accidents.
But let’s go back to the beginning. Before you can have a human being consisting of 30 trillion cells you need to form at least one living single cell organism; for example, an amoeba to start the evolutionary process. Yet we know that an amoeba is incredibly complex. It consists of millions of protein molecules that consist of DNA. And the DNA provides the sequencing and information coding needed to produce life as we know it. But since by our definition of evolution there was nothing there in the beginning how can we make the leap from nothing to functioning protein molecules.
Evolutionist like to start the process with the existence of inanimate matter that somehow morphed into living matter – proteins. But even if we conceded and gave the evolutionist inanimate matter to start with how could non-living matter become living matter. The evolutionist is silent on this point. For the evolutionist he needs a series of quantum leaps to get from nothing to something, from inanimate matter to living proteins, from living proteins to a single cell creature, and from a single cell creature to the most complex thing on our planet – a human being! All of this is madness and imagination run wild.
I for one, am much more comfortable with the biblical definition of creation found in the Bible’s very first verse – (Genesis 1:1): “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Both the evolutionary account of creation and the biblical account of creation in the last analysis have to be accepted on faith since no human being was there at the beginning to describe what took place. Evolutionists use wild imagination to describe the process of creation. I prefer to use the Bible and its timeless account of creation to describe how I came into being.
One more point – if you side with the evolutionist then you must agree that you are the chance product of the random collisions of molecules and that you came from nothing and when you die you go back to nothing and somehow you must use your 60 to 90 years of life on earth to find real meaning between these two points of nothingness – how morbid indeed! Yet the Bible says I am created by God in the image of God, here to live a life that brings glory to God, and will spend eternity with Jesus in heaven if I just accept Him into my life – how fantastic!
