Have you ever gone through a trial and wondered where is God. You pray and pray yet God seems so silent to your needs. My friends never take God’s silence to mean that He is not concerned about you. Never forget God cared so much for you that while you were still a sinner, He sent His own Son to die for you to redeem you from your certain date with eternal damnation.
The next time you wonder where is God when things are going rough consider the following.
God is concerned with the tiny sparrow for we read: “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.” (Luke 12:6). If God is concerned with the tiny sparrow, don’t you think He is concerned with you?
God even knows every hair on your head and if He is concerned with each hair on your head how much more do you think He cares for the entire person. (Luke 12:7) tells us: “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
And what about the innumerable stars in the heavens. Well, God even cares for them. Not only did He create each one but He even gave each star their own name. For we read in (Psalm 147:4): “He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.” Imagine that every star in the universe has its own special name!
So, if God is concerned with every sparrow, every hair on your head, and every star in the countless galaxies in the heavens, never forget how much He is concerned with the only one of His created beings that He made in His own image – you!
In closing, the next time you doubt how much our Heavenly Father cares about you, I ask you to read the following portion of Scripture:
(Psalm 139:13-18)
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.
