Jesus and You – The Ultimate Winning Combination – Part II

As we still travel deeper into the precious word of God, we come across perhaps the most exciting two verse combination in all of Scriptures. These two verses, (Romans 8:28-29), are so exciting and their implications so dynamic, that a true understanding of them can only leave you breathless and in awe. As you read these verses meditate on them for a few minutes and ask the Holy Spirit to energize them to your heart and mind.

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son…”

When we live for God and demonstrate our love for Him, by obeying His commands, we can know that He will use us and allow every circumstance and trial we go through to generate a meaningful and positive outcome. To know that there is a purpose and meaning in all we do in life, is such a blessing because this tells us that no matter what our station in life is, we count greatly to God and play a meaningful role in His eternal plans.

Even when we don’t see any purpose in the trials we are experiencing, at the time we are going through them, we can rest in the hands of God and allow Him to manifest meaning in His way, and in His time, and for His glory. Waiting on the Lord is the great challenge of the Christian experience. Are you willing to rise to the challenge?

I don’t know about you but I get so excited every time I read (Romans 8:29). The reason is simple. God tells me He thinks so highly of me that He predestined me to become conformed to the image of His Son. Genesis tells us we are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) and Romans in verse (8:29) tells us we are being molded by God to become just like Jesus – the second person of the Trinity! We are created in God’s image and constantly being molded to be more like Jesus. Jesus and you – what a blessing and what a winning combination!
