I came across this quote from my friend Patrick Cox’s Facebook page and it really made me appreciate the incredible gift God has given us – the Bible. Dustin Benge shares this amazingly insightful comment: “The Bible is: better than visions, more reliable than emotions, greater than miracles, more trustworthy than experience, stronger than tradition. Do you want to know God? Do you want to hear God? Read the Bible.”
My friends there is just no substitute for reading the Bible if you really want to hear from and know Jesus. Today’s devotion is short and simple. Take a few minutes to re-read the quote above from Dustin Benge and just meditate on how powerful yet simple it is. You may even want to memorize his words because they point to the true source – the only source – of divine revelation – the Bible!
