Theodore Roosevelt once remarked, “A thorough knowledge of the Bible is worth more than a college education.” Have you ever thought that a four year college education can cost almost $200,000 and a Bible only $5? But yet with a mere $5 investment you can gain wisdom of incomparable value.
For we read in Proverbs 3:13-15 (NIV):

In our society today we equate success with titles and degrees. For example a Princeton education or a PhD after your name usually means someone that is going places. But in the economy of God a solid knowledge of the Bible allows you to live a life of peace and joy – something that money, success, and fame can never buy.
Someone once remarked that a person who owns a Bible that is falling apart is a person who isn’t falling apart. Perhaps the acronym for BIBLE says it best – Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.
